loving and stalking bloggers

I'm so new to the whole world of blogging but I am falling in love!!! Actually I think it may be classed as stalking? It's midnight here in Darwin and I'm still tapping away at the computer. Now I know from reading other blogs out there that this is not unusual, but I'm usually wrapped in a sheet, taking big Z's next to my snorer. So I think this is what the first prickles of love feels like again?

There is just so much talent out in the world and we have some amazing people in our very own backyard. Please get out there and support those hand making and designing Australia. Some blogs you need to check out if you are not already - Posie Patchwork, Meet me at Mikes, Sew your own, One Red Robin and Lark ( Just the ones I lurked at tonight) I'm sure you have all been to these blogs already as they do and make amazing things.

Now I'm just sharing my Bunny that was made in 10minutes a little while ago. It does not fall under the amazing things created from the above gurus, just a funny idea that didn't really go as planned!!! He is currently hiding at Jennie's amongst the softies in the children's room.

Best see what my snorer is doing, keep warm Melissa xx

Not a bad bunny for a 10 minute special. Am also new to this blogging computer stuff. Good luck! But I did want to ask about the book you have a picture of on your sidebar. My son is so crazy about mermaids and we have started making a collection of stuff. I would be interested to know the name of it so I can keep my eyes open. Keep up the blog work!!!!

Hi Peggy-Jean, for those of you who don't realise, as Melissa thinks it's quite normal, she's a brilliant housewife (super clean home, school gate mum, devotes the weekends to husband's & children's activities & drives to the gorgeous crocodile free water holes in the Territory) she's also a fabulous cook. So brilliant in fact, at the bake sale tomorrow, which is at a community house Melissa is president of (another tick of perfection) i have already bagsed her slice offerings. I said she could take them along, they just had to have a "SOLD to Jennie" sticker on them, for when i get there after ballet.

Now, Angelique, if i can take over from Peggy-Jean (we do share a brain, so i know she won't mind the blog hijack) who also has a mad keen mermaid fan in the family, the book is actually mine, given to me at a market by a fantastic customer called Jean - the one who triggered the Liana Kabel necklace & bangle frenzy. It's a lovely hardback book by Lucie Attwell. We read it every night, of course, the title fails me, i'll leave the details on your blog.

Feel free to come over & attack my blog comments anytime honey.

That bunny is still adored & well fed by Fin, our resident carrot lover. Love Posie

Aha, busted. Jean came by the market stall today & said, I was looking at the Peggy-Jean blog . . . was that Mermaid picture from the book i gave you?? So i explained that yes, you had taken a snap, but NO, i didn't let your little girl run off with it, the book is firmly in our hands. Also, that beautiful card with the lace fan, image on your blog, sold today, to a very excited lovely young girl who thought it was the most beautiful card ever, plus 5 more she HAD to have. I guess, while i was busy selling your cards in the heat, YOU were busy grocery shopping wiht my husband. Are you quite right?? Love Posie

Hi Melissa - Have fun stalking - I have given myself a challenge actually - that I have to leave a message on the blogs that I come across - It has increased the traffic to my little blog tenfold. Have fun and that little bunny is so cute for a quicky!

Hi Melissa! thanks for stopping over at mine and leaving a comment.
I nearly fell over when I followed your link back and found out you are from Darwin. My hometown!
Born and bred there and left in December 2004. Packed up and sold everything and moved to Hobart...hahaha, talk about the opposite ends of Australia. I actually started blogging in 2005 because I fell in love with all the amazing crafty women out there, and thought I'd give it a go...also wanted to capture some of the amazing beauty down here.
Yes it is lovely here, and we are loving it so much. I still try to get back to Darwin once a year to catch up with family, and my 15 year old son goes back 3 times a year for school holidays.
I was actually lucky enough to buy some goodies from the delectable Posie Patchwork stall at Nightcliff Markets last September.
I'm loving your cards, they're fab. Thanks again for stopping by and saying Hi, it feels nice to be talking to a like minded blogger from Darwin...there aren't that many around (though i'm sure that will change).

oh no we don't have anything that big and scary at our beaches. The most scary things are sea snakes but they are about 1/100th the size of those crocs. Really the only other thing to be frightened of is the ladies that should be wearing their bikini tops!!! cheers Angelique

thanks for visiting my blog! While you're out and about stalking - You should check out Andi of Superminx. She's also in Australia and one of my very first friends made through blogging.

She's terribly crafty although she's been more artsy lately! Have fun!
